Feb 17, 2019 - Thanks to tech innovations, with utility programs such as this, professional building engineers, architects, and others alike can now model more. Jul 1, 2018 - Hello ajayhirapara999 and welcome to the Autodesk community! It looks like you need to find out more about downloading or re-downloading.
I need some clarification here. 32 bit Revit MEP can be installed on a 64 bit machine and still be able to use all the available ram(12gb) and take advantage of the 64 bit system. No, a 32 bit app will never be able to take advantage of 64 bit capabilities.
Given that the 64 bit versions are no extra cost, why would you install a 32 version on 64 bit Windows anyway? Unless you are concerned with working with others who have 32 bit Revit and Windows, in which case there are many threads (look under the Hardware & OS group especially) that offer some insight.
Best, Gordon. The current delivery method that Autodesk is using will detect which OS is being used and install the corresponding version. There isn't a publicly acknowledged switch to force 32 bit Revit onto a 64 bit OS though it is technical possible to run 32 bit applications on a 64 bit OS (not saying there is a switch either).
Revit 2010 began installing the correct version automatically. Prior to 2010 there were two separate installations for each OS type. You could use a Virtual Environment and install a 32 bit OS to use the 32 bit version of Revit if it is really necessary (like to use the RDB Link extension and no other 32 bit pc is available).
