Reply from another user installed on (circa 2012 macbook air) Andy81le has Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition Jun 15 @ 5:32pm Pleased with FSX:SE Hi there DG, After having doubts for several months since the release of FSX:SE, I finally installed it onto my Macbook Air (Mid-2012) (I know, haters-gonna-hate). Since I do not have any other option at the time, this is my only way to at least enjoy a little bit of modern flightsim without touching FS9 (which would run fine, I know). I installed the DVD version of FSX earlier, but performance was extremely bad, as expected. However, after installing FSX:SE, I was surprised to see that even with some minor addons (A2A C172, FTX Global, FreeMeshX) it runs impressively smooth (no ai traffic, normal autogen and scenery complexity). Although I have no idea if you guys really did change anything (or if you could change anything), I am pleased that it runs like this and is not the stuttering hell it was before. Now, I won't use large aircraft such as the iFly, obviously, but it is enough to do some decent flying. Thanks for bringing new life to FSX and I am looking forward to your own sim, that hopefully continues in the spirirt of FSX.
Doesnt say if he is using bootcamp or anything else, you may want to ask him, just look up 'Andy81le' here on steam and chat with him when he is on.
